1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to VideoDL ("we", "us", "our", or the "Service"), powered by Codjin. By accessing our website (videodl.codjin.com), web applications, REST API endpoints, or any related software tools, you ("User", "Developer", or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to all terms and conditions stated herein, you must immediately discontinue the use of this website and all associated extraction services.

â„šī¸
Important Notice: VideoDL is a technical developer tool and extraction resolver designed for fair use, personal archiving, and content analytics. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their usage complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws.

2. Service Scope & Technology

VideoDL provides a universal media stream resolution proxy and metadata extractor. The Service parses publicly accessible web pages and content manifests across various social networks and streaming platforms to deliver format manifests, download URLs, and metadata (titles, durations, thumbnail URLs, resolution formats).

The Service does not create, curate, host, or store media files. The extraction engine acts strictly as a client-side and cloud-mediated protocol parser, connecting the end user directly to public stream feeds provided by origin web servers.

3. Acceptable Use & User Obligations

You agree to use VideoDL exclusively for lawful purposes. Under these Terms, you agree that you shall NOT:

  • Extract or download copyrighted materials without appropriate authorization, ownership rights, or a valid legal fair use exemption under applicable jurisdiction.
  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass digital rights management (DRM) or access control protections of any kind.
  • Engage in aggressive denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, flood requests, or automated scraping that exceeds designated rate limits.
  • Distribute malware, phishing links, or illicit material through our platform or API integrations.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the proprietary extraction algorithms, tokens, or security mechanisms of VideoDL without written consent.
  • Use the Service for any commercial redistribution of third-party copyrighted content without explicit permission from copyright holders.

4. Non-Hosting Nature of Service

VIDEODL DOES NOT HOST, CACHE, OR STORE ANY AUDIO OR VIDEO CONTENT.

All video files, audio streams, thumbnails, and captions resolved by this engine reside solely on the originating third-party servers (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, Meta, Instagram, X/Twitter, Reddit servers). VideoDL merely resolves publicly available direct stream URLs and returns metadata to the client.

âš ī¸
Because VideoDL does not host any media files, we cannot delete or modify files stored on third-party host servers. To remove content from the Internet, copyright holders must contact the web host or platform where the file is originally published. For URL blocklisting on our parser, please consult our DMCA & Copyright Policy.

5. Third-Party Trademarks & Independence

All product names, brand names, logos, and trademarks mentioned on this website (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, Twitter, X, Reddit, Pinterest, Threads) are the property of their respective owners.

The display of these trademarks on VideoDL is strictly nominative and intended solely to identify the technical compatibility of our extraction engine with public content URLs. VideoDL is completely independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, authorized by, or endorsed by any of these entities.

6. API & Developer Usage Rules

Developers utilizing our API via RapidAPI or direct enterprise keys are subject to the following rules:

  • Rate Limits: API usage must conform to the subscribed tier limits. Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) responses.
  • API Keys: You are responsible for safeguarding your RapidAPI / VideoDL API keys. You may not disclose or share private keys in client-side code repositories.
  • Fair Telemetry: Anonymized performance telemetry (latency, platform success percentage) may be recorded to optimize stream resolver routing.

7. Intellectual Property & Fair Use

The user interface, branding, software code, custom CSS, documentation, and algorithms of VideoDL are the exclusive intellectual property of Codjin and the VideoDL development team, protected by applicable international copyright laws.

Users are reminded that fair use doctrine (under 17 U.S.C. § 107 in the United States and similar fair dealing exceptions internationally) allows limited use of copyrighted material for purposes such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research. The user assumes all legal liability for determining the validity of fair use for their specific media downloads.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE, SOFTWARE, WEBSITE, AND APIS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, UPTIME GUARANTEES, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED EXTRACTION CAPABILITIES.

Due to continuous changes implemented by third-party social media platforms, extraction methods may occasionally experience temporary interruptions while our engineering team deploys resolver updates.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VIDEODL, CODJIN, ITS OWNERS, DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

10. Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify, amend, update, or replace these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. Any changes will become effective immediately upon posting to this page with an updated revision date.

We reserve the right to block, restrict, or terminate access for any user, IP address, or API key that violates these Terms or threatens the operational stability of the Service.

11. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with standard international commercial and digital service guidelines.
